Sprouts

Ages 8 – 12

Opportunities to dig deeper into permaculture topics in our garden, personal development through social interaction outdoors, and plenty of space to indulge the creative side/learn through creation with more complex projects and materials. We focus our teaching on being good stewards of our earth, starting with the food we grow together.

RAD Foundations

    • Whether they come to camp with prior garden time or not, we help them learn confidence around learning the plants and their needs.

    • Most things in our garden are edible and beautiful, so we frequently challenge children to think creatively use our harvest in our snacks and art.

    • We use recycled or natural materials for the vast majority of our art and craft projects. We hope that inspires your kids to look more creatively at the waste we make.

    • Kids get experience growing edible flowers and a variety of fruits and vegetables.

    • Each day includes a healthy organic snack and lunch, often using our solar oven or garden to make the meals extra fun

    • We use our creativity and energy to encourage environmental stewardship in an inclusive and safe learning space.

    • Our low student-to-teacher ratio means each kid gets personalized attention when pursuing their interests in the garden and at the craft table.
